Dr. Emily Gazitua

"DMD"

Dr. Gazitua came to Maine in 1989 with her family, after having graduated from Haverford College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She served in the United States Air Force, at Loring AFB in Limestone and worked in Fort Fairfield before settling in Hampden, in 1992.

Dr. Gazitua's early childhood was spent between the United States and Latin America where she established her American and Hispanic roots. Her enthusiasm and passion for all she does is a direct reflection of her background! Dr. Gazitua has enjoyed volunteering on various boards and local organizations and was honored to have taught a the University College of Bangor at Augusta in the Dental Hygiene program.

She believes that she has been blessed with the opportunity to serve her patients and her community.
Dr. Gazitua loves to spend time with her husband, Brent, and with her children, Hayley and Maxwell who live in California and Colorado, respectively.

Dr. Kirston Barrett

"DMD"

Dr. Barrett grew up just around the corner in New Hampshire. After completing her undergraduate studies at Salve Regina University, she attended dental school at the University of New England. During her years at UNE she fell in love with Maine, which led her to join our practice in 2018.

Dr. Barrett has a gentle demeanor and strives to create a relaxed environment for her patients. She is passionate about improving the health of her patients and getting to know them along the way. In her free time, Dr. Barrett enjoys hiking, fitness, reading, and spending time with her dog, Bowen, and boyfriend, Jake.

Cathy Fearon

Cathy joined the practice in 1993. Already an experienced dental hygienist, she returned to UMA, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Heath. Her dedication to her profession and her strong community ties have helped to grow our practice.

She is an enthusiastic representative of Hampden and proud to offer high quality dental care so close to home. Cathy enjoys the personal interaction with patients and loved ones seeing old friends and meeting new ones daily! Cathy and her husband Jeff are happy that they could raise their three children in their home town. They also have two grandsons. When not working, Cathy likes to spend time with her family and travel.

Lorrie Buzzell

"Dental Assistant"

Lorrie joined our team in March 2014. She has been a dental assistant since 1993 and brought her excellent work ethics to our practice. She has a dual role in our practice of chair side dental assisting and front desk assisting. We rely on her flexibility both clinically and administratively to help our practice run smoothly. Lorrie enjoys meeting new people through work and is especially talented in comforting them throughout their dental experience.

Lorrie resides in Hampden with her husband Rodney and when she is not working she enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren Seaira, Hunter and Khloe, and relaxing at her camper in the summer.

Emily, a Hampden native joined our team as a full time hygienist in 2016. She graduated from UMA in 2015 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Emily and her family have been patients here since the 1990's and she is thrilled to have the opportunity to work in the place that helped form her love of dentistry.

Emily is delighted to be helping the members of her community improve their oral health. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog Beau, gardening and reading. She is looking forward to a long career here at Hampden Family Dentistry. If you see her around town say hi!

Megan Oullette

"RDH"

Megan graduated UMA with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016. She started working at Hampden Family Dentistry in 2017 and brings her professionalism and upbeat personality to our team. She resides in Old Town with her fur babies and spends her spare time fixing up her camp with her Fiance Nate at Chemo Pond.

June Toole

"Office Manager"

June Toole joined our practice in Oct 2015 as Office Manager. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist that also holds her license for Independent Practice. She had to stop doing direct patient care in 2015 so has branched out to Office Management and loves the new challenge it presents. She uses her years of clinical practice to coordinate patient care and will sometimes be seen helping out in the clinical areas.

She retired from the Maine Air National Guard as MSGT with 20 yrs in medical office management and as the Dental Clinic Supervisor. She has two grown sons and she resides in Bangor with her partner Randy and her cats and Mini Schnauzer Griffin

Darcie McCormick

Darcie joined our team in the Fall of 2015 as a dental assistant. She comes to us with several years of experience in the dental field. She enjoys interacting chair side with the patients and making them feel comfortable during procedures. Darcie has two grown sons.

Holly MacDonald

"DA"

Holly joined our practice in the summer of 2018. She lives in Frankfort with her husband, 2 sons and 3 large dogs. She enjoys camping and the outdoors. She has a positive, upbeat personality that makes her a great asset to our team. She worked for years as an ophthalmology assistant helping patients with their eye care and is now enjoying a change as a dental assistant, helping patients with their smiles.

Kelly A. Leidenroth

"RDH, EFDA"

Kelly graduated in 2015 from the University of Maine at Augusta-Bangor with her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and became certified in Expanded Functions in 2016. She has over 8 years’ experience in the dental field working at the front desk and as a dental assistant. Kelly is very active in her profession and is a member of the Maine Dental Hygienist Association. Kelly is also certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration.

When Kelly is not working to educate and connect with patients, she spends her time hiking, kayaking, cooking/baking, rock climbing and practicing yoga.
